What data we process

• Server logs — IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps. Retained by our hosting provider (AWS) for up to 30 days.
• Analytics — Page views, referrer, browser and device type, approximate country, and questionnaire progress with your answers reduced to coarse bands — an income range, an asset range, an age decade — never the figures or dates you type, and never your municipality or postcode. Collected via PostHog on EU infrastructure.
• Session replay — Anonymous recordings of page interactions via PostHog. All text input fields are masked. Passwords are never captured.
• Error reports — Browser environment and error stack traces via Sentry on EU infrastructure. Personal data scrubbing is applied. Retained for 90 days.
• Questionnaire data — Financial information you enter into the pension calculator (income, assets, pension details). This data is processed to generate your pension analysis and is stored temporarily in our database.

What we do NOT collect

• No user accounts or registration required
• No email addresses (unless you contact us directly or request a report)
• No payment or credit card data
• No advertising, remarketing, or social tracking data

Purpose and legal basis

All data processing serves our legitimate interest in operating, improving, and maintaining a stable website and pension calculator service (nDSG Art. 31(1)).

We do not sell, share, or transfer personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Third-party processors

All processors are bound by data processing agreements.

Data location

All personal data is processed within the European Union. No transfers to third countries take place.

Retention

• Server logs: 30 days
• Analytics & session replay: 90 days
• Error reports: 90 days
• Questionnaire data: until you close your browser session or 30 days

Cookies

MoneySea uses localStorage to remember your language preference and questionnaire progress. PostHog may set a persistent identifier. No advertising cookies are used.

Opt out of session replay

Contact i@moneysea.ch to opt out. Browser extensions such as uBlock Origin will also block PostHog.

Your rights

Under the Swiss nDSG you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Contact i@moneysea.ch — we respond within 30 days.

You may lodge a complaint with the FDPIC.
